304 stainless steel, namely 18cr-8ni, as a widely used steel, has good performances like corrosion resistance, intergranular corrosion resistance and heat resistance, and other hot processing performances like stamping, bending. It has phenomenon of no heat treatment hardening and has better high temperature resistance (soft non-magnetic, using temperature: -196℃~800℃). For oxidizing acids, it is concluded in the experiment that: in the nitric acid with no more than 65% concentration under the boiling, 304 stainless steel has a strong corrosion resistance, and also has good corrosion resistance against alkali solution and most of the organic acids and inorganic acids. The rust-proof performance of 304 stainless steel is much better than that of 200 series of stainless steel material.
